SmartBox Subscription Service Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

The SmartBox Subscription Service (the “Service”) provides subscribers with a secure, personal parcel locker (“SmartBox”) installed at their residence for direct deliveries.

2. Subscription Terms

The subscription requires a minimum commitment of 12 months from the activation date of the SmartBox.

The subscription is automatically renewed annually unless terminated by the subscriber or SmartBox as per these Terms.

3. Service Fees and Payment

Subscribers agree to pay a monthly subscription fee as outlined during the registration process.

An initial fee may apply, which will be disclosed at the time of registration. This fee is non-refundable.

Payments are due on a monthly basis via the payment method specified at the start of the subscription.

SmartBox reserves the right to suspend or terminate the Service in case of missed payments, with prior notification to the subscriber.

4. Early Termination and Cancellation

Subscribers may cancel their subscription at any time; however, cancellations before the end of the initial 12-month term are subject to an early termination fee.

The early termination fee will be calculated as follows:

The early termination fee will be billed to the payment method on file or invoiced to the subscriber. Non-payment may result in further action as outlined in Section 8.

5. Ownership and Maintenance of SmartBox

The SmartBox unit remains the property of SmartBox and is leased to the subscriber during the subscription term.

Subscribers are responsible for the unit’s upkeep and are liable for any damages due to misuse, negligence, or unauthorized alterations, which may incur additional charges.

6. Service Limitations

The Service is limited to parcel deliveries. Oversized, overweight, hazardous materials, or items needing special handling are not permitted.

SmartBox does not guarantee uninterrupted service and reserves the right to perform routine maintenance that may temporarily suspend Service.

7. Subscriber Responsibilities

Subscribers must ensure the SmartBox remains accessible for courier deliveries.

Sharing access codes or credentials with third parties is at the subscriber’s own risk, and SmartBox is not liable for unauthorized access resulting from subscriber actions.

8. Suspension and Default

If a subscriber defaults on payment or breaches any Terms, SmartBox may suspend or terminate the Service with prior written notice.

Reinstatement of Service within 30 days after suspension is possible, contingent on payment of all outstanding fees plus a reinstatement charge.

9. Amendment of Terms

SmartBox reserves the right to amend these Terms with prior notice. Continued use of the Service implies acceptance of any modified Terms.

10. Limitation of Liability

SmartBox is not liable for any loss, damage, or delay of parcels placed in the SmartBox due to factors beyond its control, including force majeure, unauthorized access, or subscriber misuse.
